Right Back, Rights Back

Explaining why we skipped work and basketball tournaments will only get weirder. The effort to remember what that two-year gap was all about is like missing memories about a bender that left us hung over without ever getting drunk. Everything is back to normal in this rather abnormal world like in a Shakespeare comedy when silly notions are exposed and played out. Nobody can understand dialogue while wearing a useless mask.

We weren’t supposed to want our rights back, which is one of countless predictions bossy governors got wrong. The contagious era’s action plan was designed to usher in an era of welcome state control. Exploiting disease to enact an agenda is a nice human touch from self-righteous types who think it’s healthy to shriek that insurers profit off sickness. Luckily, those who seek to control us suck at everything, including the perfect opportunity to implement their hideous dreams.

Shortcomings start with the atrociousness of the notions. I suppose it’s good to be thorough. The state’s fans are appalled more than anything humans making decisions. Oh, sure: they can choose for everyone else. But ordering your dinner for you only results because of their expertise, which consists of thinking they know what’s best.

Your kindly minders are not going to allow exceptions often enough that they become the regular routine. Government is restrained for a reason that’s loathed by those ostensibly serving us within it. Ingrates didn’t appreciate the free sample.

Recipients were supposed to see that life was a joy once frightening aspects like earning and decisions confiscated. Life supposedly became free from fear, which is the promise made by pushily delusional control freaks who don’t grasp how foolish they are about conditions as they make them worse. Shrieking at anyone five and a half feet away still embodies utter rationality.

Enforcing arbitrary superstitions may not be as scientific as promoted. Locking everyone inside for safety made sense just like pretending subsidizing tuition makes college affordable. As with concluding more boosters will solve the problem of them wearing off before you leave Walgreens, it’s obvious that throwing more cash at the problem will make it cooperate. Free must mean it’s infinitely better by definition.

Science is not what Democratic governors conclude that morning despite what zealots claimed in the dark days of 2021. Citizens who leaned to tie their own shoelaces figured out to stay home if you don’t feel well and not let the fear of it happening govern our lives. Naturally, they didn’t get the option. Credit whoever decided for you what risks were acceptable and what weren’t. As a hint, it’s all of them.

Running from invisible disease clouds brought out the calmest in humanity. It’s not minimizing the threat of contagious illness to note capricious orders were as useless as they were detrimental. The best time to stop wearing masks is two years ago.

Andrew Cuomo is still a monster in case you fretted conditions would never revert. The nursing home Grim Reaper should have been excluded from public life when he whispered homophobic slurs during the New York City mayoral race on Daddy’s behalf, after melting down Earth’s economy as a particularly inept Housing and Urban Development Secretary, and when he scaled back to ruining New York’s economy. His mob-style behavior toward anyone who dares dissent pimped the worst of stereotypes.

The Empire State’s pompous putz is simply the most monstrous of the invasive specimens. Every aspiring tyrant who didn’t have the guts to seize power snuck into dictatorship by winning elections. Promising the usual unlimited free amazing junk was just the start in an era that showed just how feasible it is to be liberated from worrying by voting.

A virus doesn’t mean your rights evaporate. Illness was just an excuse. Contagiousness created a special time that never seems to truly be cured. Making extraordinary circumstances ordinary is the dream. It’s not as inspirational as hoped. The scheme takes the form of inflating the slightest crises into unbridled panic.

Thinking that we’re free to get haircuts at will won’t last. Humanity is bound to encounter new variants that will be scary primarily as a reminder of how easy it is to lose the right to have rights. The details will feature slight changes, unlike the unchanging lust to tell you what you can’t do. Elected phony epidemiologists drool at the chance of another infection so they can spread the disease of entitlement addiction.

Brace for the next flu season bringing more aching than usual. The ever-objective media will helpfully cast your refusal to be forced to breathe improperly as fatigue from necessary orders. You must overcome your bothersome sense of autonomy if the collective is to advance together.

Presuming infiltrations protected you requires disregarding how poorly life went while allegedly being guarded. The Constitution’s most ardent foes really aren’t into noticing results. The purportedly high-minded flaunt a low opinion of experiment results.
